Wife’s Revenge: Cheating Husband and Mistress Get Stuck Together
When Elena discovered that her husband, Marcus, was cheating on her, she didn’t scream.
She didn’t cry.
She didn’t throw his clothes out of the window.
She simply smiled.
That frightened Marcus more than anything else could have.
For seven years, Elena had believed their marriage was solid. She had supported Marcus when he changed careers, helped him through financial problems, and stood beside him whenever his ambitions seemed bigger than his abilities.
Then one evening, while Marcus was supposedly working late, Elena found a second phone hidden beneath the driver’s seat of his car.
There were hundreds of messages.
Not business messages.
Romantic ones.
The woman’s name was Sophie.
At first, Elena couldn’t believe what she was reading.
“I can’t wait to see you tonight.”
“She still doesn’t suspect anything.”
“One day we’ll be together properly.”
And then the message that broke something inside Elena:
“I wish you were my wife instead.”
Elena stared at the screen for a long time.
Then she placed the phone exactly where she had found it.
Marcus came home an hour later.
“Long day,” he said casually.
Elena looked at him across the dinner table.
“Very long,” she replied.
He smiled.
He had no idea that his entire world had just changed.
Over the next two weeks, Elena acted completely normal.
She cooked dinner.
She went to work.
She kissed Marcus goodbye in the morning.
And she never once mentioned Sophie.
Instead, she investigated.
She discovered that Sophie worked in the same company as Marcus and that they had been seeing each other for nearly eight months.
Elena also discovered something Marcus didn’t know.
Sophie had been lying to him too.
She believed Marcus had already filed for divorce.
Marcus had told Sophie that Elena was “cold,” that their marriage was “basically over,” and that he was only staying until he could sort out the paperwork.
He had told both women different stories.
Elena could have exposed him immediately.
But she decided that a man who had spent months playing two people deserved to experience what it felt like to lose control.
She waited.
Three days later, Elena called Marcus.
“I need you to pick up some documents from the storage unit,” she said.
“Tonight?”
“Yes. It’s important.”
Marcus sighed. “Fine.”
He didn’t know Elena had also invited Sophie.
Sophie received a message from Marcus:
“Meet me at the storage unit at 8. I have something important to tell you.”
Marcus thought he had sent it to Sophie.
But Elena had arranged everything.
At exactly 8:00 p.m., Marcus entered the storage building.
Sophie was already there.
They stared at each other.
“What are you doing here?” Marcus asked.
“You told me to come.”
Marcus pulled out his phone.
“I didn’t—”
Then his face changed.
He realized what had happened.
Someone had access to his phone.
Before either of them could say anything else, the heavy metal door behind them slammed shut.
Marcus ran toward it.
Locked.
“Great,” Sophie muttered. “Just great.”
Marcus tried the emergency handle.
Nothing.
Then he noticed something strange.
A small bottle sat on the floor beside a toolbox.
Fast-drying industrial adhesive.
A note was taped to it.
“Some things are difficult to separate once they’re stuck together.”
Marcus went pale.
“Sophie…”
She looked at him.
“What?”
“I think my wife did this.”
They spent the next hour trying to force the door open.
Nothing worked.
Marcus blamed Sophie.
Sophie blamed Marcus.
Eventually, the arguing stopped.
They were exhausted.
And trapped.
Then Sophie crossed her arms.
“Tell me something.”
“What?”
“Did you actually file for divorce?”
Marcus looked away.
“No.”
Sophie laughed bitterly.
“So you lied to me.”
Marcus said nothing.
“You told me your marriage was over.”
“I was going to leave.”
“When?”
He didn’t answer.
“Next year?” she demanded. “After another year of lying?”
Marcus became angry.
“You knew I was married!”
“And you told me you were leaving!”
They stared at each other.
For the first time, neither could blame Elena.
They had both believed what Marcus wanted them to believe.
Meanwhile, Elena sat in her car across the street.
She wasn’t planning to hurt anyone.
She had made sure the storage unit had ventilation and that Marcus’s phone could still receive emergency calls.
But she wanted them to talk.
Really talk.
And eventually, someone would discover them.
Elena wasn’t interested in keeping them trapped forever.
She simply wanted Marcus to face the consequences of his lies without being able to charm his way out of them.
At midnight, Elena finally unlocked the door remotely.
Marcus and Sophie stumbled outside.
They expected Elena to be standing there screaming.
Instead, she was sitting calmly in her car.
Marcus froze.
“Elena.”
She stepped out.
Sophie lowered her head.
Elena looked at them both.
“Was it worth it?”
Marcus opened his mouth.
Nothing came out.
Elena held up an envelope.
“I packed your things.”
Marcus stared at it.
“You’re leaving me?”
“No.”
She smiled.
“I’m leaving you.”
She handed him the envelope.
Inside were divorce papers, photographs of his messages, bank statements, and copies of every lie he had told her.
Marcus looked horrified.
“You knew?”
“For weeks.”
“Why didn’t you say anything?”
“Because I wanted to know whether you would ever tell me the truth.”
He looked down.
Elena continued.
“You didn’t.”
Sophie stepped forward.
“Elena, I’m sorry.”
Elena looked at her.
“I believe you.”
Sophie seemed surprised.
“But I’m not the person you need to apologize to.”
She looked toward Marcus.
Sophie understood.
The divorce was finalized months later.
Marcus lost more than his marriage.
His reputation collapsed when several of his lies at work came to light.
Sophie left the company and never spoke to him again.
And Elena?
She moved into a beautiful apartment across town.
For the first time in years, she decorated a home exactly the way she wanted.
No compromises.
No excuses.
No secrets.
One evening, Marcus called her.
“I made a mistake,” he said.
Elena looked out the window.
“You made hundreds.”
“I still love you.”
She smiled sadly.
“You loved having me.”
There was silence.
Then Marcus whispered, “Is there any chance?”
Elena thought about the woman she had been a year earlier—the woman who had trusted him completely.
Then she thought about the woman she had become.
“No.”
She hung up.
And for the first time, she didn’t feel angry.
She felt free.
The revenge hadn’t been trapping Marcus and Sophie together.
That had only been the beginning.
The real revenge was walking away from the man who thought she would never have the strength to leave.
And never looking back.
