WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT THIS, NIGHTFAM?

Brazilian billionaire Chiquinho Scarpa once told the world he planned to bury his $500,000 Bentley so he could “use it in the afterlife.”

In 2013, Scarpa went all in. He dug a grave in his backyard, staged a full funeral for the car, and posted photos on Facebook as the Bentley was slowly rolled toward the pit. The internet exploded. People were furious, confused, and obsessed with the idea of someone literally burying a luxury car.

Then came the twist. Scarpa revealed it was never about the Bentley. It was a publicity stunt to promote organ donation.

His message was simple and uncomfortable: people were outraged about a wasted car, but barely reacted to the fact that perfectly healthy organs are buried with people every day instead of being donated to save lives.

The Bentley was never buried. The grave was filled back in. The car stayed right where it was.

And the impact was real. That same year, organ donation registrations in Brazil reportedly rose by around 30 percent, with Scarpa’s stunt widely credited for sparking national conversation.

It was absurd on the surface, but intentional underneath. A reminder that sometimes it takes shock to make people stop, think, and care.

What do you think, genius awareness move or unnecessary spectacle?
