A unique wedding has captured attention in Somerset, where 37-year-old farmer Victoria Lee chose to arrive at her wedding ceremony riding her favorite cow.
Victoria rode to the church on her cow, “White Chocolate Button,” whom she describes as almost her best friend.
Lee, who grew up on her family’s farm in Dorset, said she started riding cows as a child because her family wouldn’t let her have a pony.
“I grew up on the family farm in Dorset, and we weren’t allowed to have ponies, so I started riding cows. I thought, why not train White Chocolate Button to take me to church?” she said.
The bride had also tried to train another cow named Basil, but Basil didn’t like the idea and even tried to throw her off.
On her wedding day, Lee was first transported to the village by tractor, while she covered the final stretch to the church riding her cow, accompanied by her bridesmaids.
After the ceremony, the groom and his groomsmen formed a “guard of honor” with farm vehicles outside the church.
But the unusual celebration didn’t end there. Immediately after the ceremony, the couple returned to the farm to milk the cows, while the guests waited for around two hours before the newlyweds joined the celebrations.
