Alice’s Journey: From Despair to a Life Filled with Love

A Fateful Afternoon Under the Blazing Sun

The day I found Alice is one that will forever be etched in my memory. The afternoon sun burned mercilessly, with temperatures climbing past 40 degrees Celsius.

The streets shimmered with heat, and in that unbearable silence, I noticed a small, discarded box lying near the edge of the road. Inside it, motionless and trembling, was a fragile dog who seemed to be holding onto life by the thinnest thread.

Her fur was patchy, her ribs starkly visible beneath her skin, and her breathing shallow. Her eyes—dull yet pleading—met mine for only a moment, and in that moment, I saw a soul on the brink of giving up.

Alice didn’t bark. She didn’t struggle or even flinch when I knelt beside her. It was as if she had already accepted her fate. I reached out slowly, whispering softly so she would know she was safe.
