Hines, a Curb Your Enthusiasm performer, accompanied her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at UFC 314 in Florida yesterday (April 12), which was also attended by Donald Trump.
RFK Jr. is the current US Health Secretary, appointed by Trump when he came to office in January.
Trump recognized a party member at the sports event last night and offered him a half-hearted embrace and handshake; however, when his wife extended her hand to meet the president, he appeared to entirely overlook her in a now-viral scene.
The apparent snub was not lost on Hines, who shrugged and pulled a grimace thereafter.
The discussion was captured on tape as part of ESPN’s coverage of the UFC event, and it wasn’t long before people were talking about it on Twitter.
“Donald Trump snubbing Cheryl Hines is literally a real-life Curb Your Enthusiasm moment,” a particular individual commented.
