Anushka’s uniqueness comes from the fact that they constructed it using parts salvaged from a junkyard.
She is also reportedly the first robot with a “beating heart.”
Affordable yet advanced technology
Despite her sophisticated features, Anushka was built on a budget of just $2,400. This makes her significantly more affordable than other humanoid robots.
Currently, Anushka acts as a receptionist. She greets visitors and answers queries.
Future applications beyond reception
The team has ambitious plans for Anushka. They aim to expand her capabilities into healthcare and consulting services.
A Fusion of technology and art
Anushka’s face is a combination of advanced technology and artistic design. Her facial features were created using 3D-printed parts and a flexible silicone skin.
According to reports, her design was inspired by a historical French princess. Generative AI further refined her appearance.
Anushka is powered by an Intel i7 processor. This acts as her brain, controlling microcontrollers and servo motors.
