until I walked into the kitchen and saw my chihuahua on the floor-
shaking, gagging, drooling, unable to breathe normally.
Then I saw it.
The torn chocolate wrapper.
My heart dropped
He tried to lift his head, but his little body collapsed again.
His breathing turned sharp, choking, like his throat was closing.
I screamed his name and fell to the floor beside him, crying, shaking, begging:
“Please, baby… please don’t leave me.”
I rushed him to the emergency vet still in my pajamas.
The vet took one look and said:
“Chocolate toxicity. His heart and airway are under stress. We need to act now.”
Those minutes felt like hours.
I couldn’t stop crying.
I didn’t know if he was going to make it.
He survived— but barely.
After stabilizing him, the vet told me something I’ll never forget:
“Recovery takes time. His body is inflamed, stressed, and weak. Support him from the inside.”So I did.
I started adding Taily Collagen to his meals every single day.
And slowly… I saw life come back into him:So I did.
I started adding Taily Collagen to his meals every single day.
And slowly… I saw life come back into him:
+* His breathing normalized
His tiny legs stopped shaking
His coat softened again
+ And his energy returned like nothing had happened
The dog I thought l’d lose on that kitchen floor now jumps into my lap like he never missed a heartbeat.
If you’re a dog parent, please-learn from my nightmare.
And give their little bodies the support they need to heal.
