Today, I witnessed a miracle — and it had four paws and soft whiskers.
Just one second… one moment of distraction… and my little child slipped on the stairs. My heart sank as I saw that tiny body tumble downward — it was a moment that felt like an eternity, filled with fear, helplessness, and panic.
And then, something unforgettable happened.
Our cat — the quiet soul who often watches everything from a distance — reacted in an instant. Like she knew. She darted forward with a speed and precision I’ve never seen before, placed herself in just the right spot, and slowed the fall — just enough to prevent what could have been a tragedy.
No human could’ve reacted that fast.
No one could’ve predicted it.
But she did it. Silently. Instinctively. Lovingly.
Today, I look at her with different eyes.
