Animals Are Not Props: Miniature Horse Chained and Decorated for Tourist Photos Sparks Concern

According to witnesses, the animal was kept without shade, tethered with a chain, and carried a heavy saddle, all while being exposed to high temperatures. This incident brings attention once again to the issue of animal mistreatment in the name of tourism, a practice that continues in many areas with little to no regulation.
Animal rights organizations are calling for increased awareness and an end to the exploitation of animals for photo ops and other tourist-driven activities.
“Animals are not toys or photo props. They deserve care, respect, and humane treatment,” said one concerned beachgoer.
